Fergie Fuming as Man United Miss Penalty against Fulham
Alex Ferguson was left furious after his side only managed a draw against Fulham.
Ferguson was shocked when substitute player Nani missed a penalty in the 87th minute of the game which would have put United 3 – 1 ahead. Fulham later went on to equalise in the last minute with a goal from Brede Hangeland.
Ferguson said, "To miss a penalty to make it 3-1, you're throwing two points away there I'm afraid. The miss galvanised Fulham."
Mark Hughes the boss at Fulham said, "We deserved at least a point. I was delighted with our character."
After the match Ferguson broke a new rule which forces all managers to speak to the BBC. He has been boycotting the BBC since a 2004 Panorama investigation into his son Jason’s activities as an agent.
Ferguson was told that he may have to pay a £1,000 fine for not speaking to the BBC under new premiership rules.
A statement from the Premier League management said, "This is a breach of our rules and the board will consider the appropriate course of action at their next meeting in September."
