Balotelli to leave Inter Milan for Manchester City
Recent reports say that Manchester City manager Mancini wants to sign Balotelli from Inter Milan despite his temper.
It’s almost impossible to ignore the 19 year old Italian striker Mario Balotelli, mainly because he has more natural talent and skill than most professional players and now he is going to be leaving his Serie A club and move to England.
Recent reports say that the controversial player is about to sign a £35 million contract which will mean he shall leave his current Serie A side and recent treble winners, Inter Milan, and move to the English Premier League club Manchester City.
Apparently Manchester City officials are so keen to sign the player that they are currently in Italy in order to finalise the details. If all goes to plan Balotelli should soon be a regular fixture at Manchester City with his former boss Roberto Mancini training him once again.
However, aside from his exceptional talent and skills Balotelli has developed a reputation as a bit of a difficult character. He has had to be punished on a number of occasions during his time at Inter Milan by the ex head coach Jose Mouinho.
Balotelli was punished by being left out of the squad for his various on and off field antics, for instance last season he was left out of the second leg of a crucial Champions League game against Chelsea. A good example of Balotelli’s temper was in the first leg of last year’s Champions League semi final against Barcelona. He threw his Inter Milan shirt on the ground in disgust upsetting both the fans and his team mates.
Obviously though Mancini is prepared to look beyond Balotelli’s behaviour and thinks that he can turn him into one of the most effective players at Manchester City. An interesting question though is whether or not he will be missed by Inter Milan and their fans.
