Scholes has spent his whole professional career with Manchester United. He has been described by Zinedine Zidane as the "greatest midfielder of his generation." Sir Bobby Charlton described Scholes as "the embodiment of all that I think is best about football.
Welshman Ryan Giggs 36, has scored in 21 consecutive seasons for Manchester United. Giggs, like Scoles has played his entire professional career with the Red Devils. He holds a large number of football records, including being the most decorated player in English Football history.

"They are two players who can lift a game. Scholes proved again that he is just a master of his trade." "His vision, passing range and his willingness to play is marvellous." "He's still got the appetite. When you get to that age and you retain that, then it is good for us.
"When it came to Giggs goal scoring sequence, he joked "That's amazing. I may give him a rest now".
Ferguson was also pleased that Dimitar Berbatov and Darren Fletcher also scored as he wants to keep up with free scoring Chelsea. He went on to say "Goals could come into it in the end. Last season Chelsea won a landslide as far as goals are concerned.
"Newcastle United boss Chris Hughton said "Lessons have to be learned. We have now seen something about the quality of teams we'll come up against."
