Brazil forward, Fabiano, revealed that he will not be signing a new contract with Sevilla and has no interest of joining Tottenham Hotspur.
Fabiano, one of the greatest footballers in the world, has revealed that he will not be signing a new contract with his famous Sevilla club. Fabiano, a Brazil forward, has put in a number of brave performances throughout the 2010 World Cup scoring two out of three goals in Brazil’s impressive victory against the Ivory Coast. The Sevilla player has attracted interest from numerous leading clubs including AC Milan as well as Spurs. Fabiano has made it clear, however, that the latter is an unattractive prospect and is hoping to seek out what he dubbed more “challenging” opportunities in the future.
The former Porto striker revealed that he did not believe that Redknapp’s team possessed the strength or experience to win the all important European Cup. A statement from the 29 year old player confirmed that he has no interest in signing a contract. "I have heard Tottenham Hotspur made an inquiry”, he said “but, with all respect, that is not somewhere I am going to be able to win the Premier League or the European Cup”. He added that there would be no point in leaving Sevilla to join a “smaller team.” Negotiations with Milan are underway and it remains to be seen how talks will develop in forthcoming months.
Meanwhile, Fabiano will no doubt be focusing on the 2010 World Cup which could promise great things for the Brazilian team. Brazil will be taking on Chile in a game which is bound to be filled with excitement. All footballing fans will be eager to see how the future of one of the game’s hottest talents plays out.
