Are Clubs Taking Gamble With England's Chances?

With eight members of the England side selected to play against Ireland in a week's time due to play for their clubs this weekend, William Hill have opened a book on how many of the eight will, in fact, be on the pitch at kick off on the 24th of February.
William Hill's odds suggest that the clubs are not gambling with England's chances and offer 1/3 that all eight are on the pitch at kick off, 9/4 that one misses out and 8/1 that two players fail to start.
"The England management's decision to announce the team early in the hope that clubs would rest England players has fallen on deaf ears and it will be interesting to see who is proved correct," said William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
