Robbo Appointed - United Odds Lengthened

Following the news that Bryan Robson has been appointed as manager at Sheffield United, William Hill have lengthened their odds of winning the Championship title next season from 12/1 to 14/1, and also lengthened the odds about them finishing higher than bitter rivals Sheffield Wednesday from 1/2 to 8/15.
"The knee-jerk reaction when a new boss comes in is to shorten their odds, but Robbo is not everyone's idea of an up and coming, dynamic manager and in our opinion United will have less chance of coming straight back up under him than they would have had under Neil Warnock, who knows the club inside out" said William Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
