Victory For Turpin Can Rob Bookies

Turpin Green has continued to shorten with William Hill ahead of his intended engagement in the Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury on November 25th.
Nicky Richards seven year old, who finished only two lengths behind Ante-Post favourite Star De Mohaison at Ascot in April, has now been backed into 6-1 second favourite for the 3 1/4 mile handicap chase having been 11-1 at the start of the week.
"The liabilities have crept up on us like Dick Turpin and we're now looking for any other horse to come to our rescue, even the favourite." commented William Hill's Ben Clarke. "Last week Vodka Bleu nearly landed what would have been the gamble of the season but come next week he may be the one to save us."
