Percy Sir-tainly Proving Popular
Sir Percy has become William Hill's 3-1 clear favourite for this weekend's Emirates Airline Champion Stakes at Newmarket.
Marcus Tregoning's three year old, who has been beaten only once in a career that includes a short head victory in the Vodafone Derby, will return to Newmarket exactly one year on from his neck victory in the Darley Dewhurst Stakes and punters obviously think he can make it a happy anniversary.
William Hill's spokesman Ben Clarke added: "Sir Percy has endured an injury riddled season but he still remains one of the best three year olds in training. He hasn't run since the Derby but memories of that famous victory are obviously fresh in the minds of punters who are continuing to pile on the cash."
