Murray Still Favourite For Sports Personality
William Hill have pushed out the price of Andy Murray winning the BBC Sports Personality Of The Year from 3/1 to 5/1 following his loss to Nadal, but he remains their favourite.
Andy Murray is offered at 5/1 to win one of the remaining Grand Slam tournaments in 2007 and is 1/2 to be ranked in the top 10 on December 31st 2007 and 6/4 that he is not.
The bookies also offer 2/1 that Andy Murray and Brad Gilbert part company in 2007 and 4/11 that they are still player/coach on that date.
Andy Murray has been well backed to win Wimbledon and is now 12/1 from 16/1.
"Murray played some great tennis and we expect great things but he will need to win a Grand Slam to be named Sports Personality and 25% of his chances have gone", said William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
