Has Carling Cup Win Steadied The Chelsea Ship?

Last updated: 13/03/2008 17:07

Chelsea's win in the Carling Cup may well have quietened the vocal discontent in the Chelsea camp but William Hill offer 9/4 that Mourinho will have left his current position before the final game of the season and offer 6/4 that his next managerial position is with Real Madrid.

Shevchenko is offered at 2/1 to score one goal against Forest at the weekend and is 9/5 to score a further five or more goals in the current Premiership season.

"Mourinho has taken Chelsea to a Final and Shevchenko is scoring again, so for many it is all hunky dory again in the champions' camp but we feel that the winter of discontent could be a long one and the 9/4 that Mourinho will be gone by the end of the season could prove very popular", said William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
