CBS SportsLine has launched its suite of games for the 2007 Fantasy Baseball season.
In addition to the award winning Fantasy Baseball Commissioner and Premium Single games, CBS SportsLine will once again offer Free Fantasy Baseball, allowing fantasy baseball enthusiasts and those new to the hobby to experience the game using a top of the line product at absolutely no cost.
CBS SportsLine's Fantasy products have a long history of garnering industry awards for product excellence and that continued in 2006 when the Company was recognized by the Fantasy Sports Trade Association as having both the top "Fantasy Commissioner Product" and the "Best Online Service".
"This year we're focused more than ever on our Fantasy customers," said Bill Binenstock, Vice President of Consumer Products for CBS SportsLine. "We've made our Free Fantasy Baseball game easy to use and simple to join, and our Baseball Commissioner has a bold, redesigned look with a host of new features. It's our audience's input that makes our service the award-winner that it is."
New for 2007, the entire suite of CBS SportsLine Fantasy Baseball products will now feature a video player on the league homepage. The video player will features exclusive CBS SportsLine Fantasy Baseball original video programming segments, giving players more timely, in-depth news, strategy and advice from the leader in Fantasy Sports. These segments will include MLB game highlight clips with a focus on key fantasy performers. Hosted by Amber Wilson and featuring guests such as CBS SportsLine Senior Fantasy Writers Eric Mack and David Gonos, the Fantasy Baseball video programs will start the year with Draft Preview segments and analysis and continue throughout the season with "Fantasy Baseball Weekly" and "Fantasy Baseball News Updates".
"Our audience is getting increasingly more sophisticated in how they consume content and as such, producing first-class, original video programs to meet those needs is a priority at CBS SportsLine," said Joe Ferreira, Vice President of Programming and Executive Producer of CBS SportsLine. "Putting these Fantasy Baseball programs front and center on league homepages allows our fantasy experts to better explain the 'between-the-lines story' that players crave in making key team management decisions on a daily and weekly basis and the information they provide will prove invaluable to our users over the course of the season."
