xTommy Burns has been installed as 2/1 favourite to succeed the departed Walter Smith as the next permanent manager of Scotland by William Hill, who make Craig Levein 11/4 second favourite and also offer 9/2 McLeish; 9/1 Davies; McAllister; 11/1 Knox; 14/1 Colin Calderwood; Jimmy Calderwood; 16/1 Jordan; Collins; 20/1 Jeffries; Souness; 25 Craig Brown; 33 Moyes; 40 Sturrock.
The bookies have lengthened the odds about Scotland qualifying for the final stages of the Euro 2008 tournament from 4/1 to 5/1 and make them 16/1 to win their Group, from 14/1.
"There is no doubt that upheaval at the top can only make qualifying from a tough Group even more of a challenge" said William Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
