William Hill have cut the price of the England Rugby side winning the Six nations Grand Slam from 16/1 to 11/1 following a run of bets including a £1,100 bet from a Essex based customer and a £500 wager from an Edinburgh punter.

"Punters have not been overwhelmed by the new England line up but we now have near on £50,000 worth of liability should England manage to beat the form book and win the Grand Slam," said William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.

England remain 5/1 outsiders to win the Six Nations behind the favourites Ireland at 6/4, France 2/1 and Wales at 4/1.

England are 16/1 to successfully defend the World Cup later in the year.
