Bookies Celebrating England Win Over West Indies
Bookmakers William Hill are celebrating following England's victory over the West Indies in the second test. They had been facing a six figure payout on the draw and for a time the weather looked as if it would come to punters aid. William Hill's now rate England a shade of odds-on at 10/11 to win the remaining two tests with England 4/9 for the third test, 15/8 the draw and 12/1 the West Indies. Ryan Sidebottom looked the real deal and William Hill's offer 10/1 that he takes 5 wickets in either innings of the third test and 25/1 that he takes ten or more wickets in the third Test. Kevin Pietersen is 7/1 to score another double against the Windies and 1/16 to fail to do so.
"The second test was a fantastic result, especially as we took a hammering when the first Test finished in a draw. We are now honours even and would expect punters to start backing England as baring the weather England have looked totally dominate against a weak West Indies side." said William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
