Murray Odds Cut For Sports Personality

Bookmakers William Hill have cut the price of Andy Murray being named the BBC Sports Personality of the year 2007 from 3/1 to 2/1 one of the shortest prices offered at such an early stage.
Andy Murray is also offered at 7/2 to beat Roger Federer in 2007, one of the few who managed the feat in 2006. Murray is 12/1 to win Wimbledon and 6/1 to win one of the remaining Grand Slam Tournaments.
"Murray has been defending a lot of ranking points in San Jose and must have been feeling the pressure, but he has come through with flying colours and we have little doubt that he is the real deal," said William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
