The confirmation of Les Reed as the new Charlton manager cost William Hill £1,700 in the two hours that it was traded. But things could have been far worse if they had accepted a £10,000 bet that a customer tried to place five minutes before the announcement.

Les Reed is 33/1 with William Hill to be the next manager to get the premiership boot with Glenn Roeder the 10/11 favourite.
