More Misery For English Cricket
After England took another pasting at the hands of the Australian cricketers, William Hill offer just 7/1 that England fail to win any of their first eight matches in the Commonwealth series, 1/1 that England fail to win any games against the Aussies and 125/1 that England manages to win all four.
Perhaps the only good news for England was that Michael Vaughan managed to get through the day and the bookies offer 4/7 that he scores a fifty in the Commonwealth series and 9/2 that he scores a century.
England are 14/1 to win the first 20:20 World Cup in 2008.
"Australia are the massive favourites for the series with over 90% of bets accepted on the hosts including a single bet of £15,000 at 1/3. Patriotic punters have finally deserted England and you cannot blame them," said William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
