Buckeyes, Wolverines And Trojans Look To Remain Unbeaten

Buckeyes, Wolverines And Trojans Look To Remain UnbeatenWith all due respect to Minnesota, Northwestern and Oregon State, odds makers at Sportsbook.com are quite confident that these three teams will be no match on Saturday for the top three teams in college football - # 1 Ohio State, # 2 Michigan and # 3 USC. All three schools will look to remain unbeaten and on course for a trip to the BCS title game in January.

In Columbus, The Buckeyes host the Golden Gophers, a team they beat 45-31 last season in Minnesota. Ohio State is favored by 27 points. Fellow Big Ten rival Michigan hosts Northwestern in Ann Arbour and is favored by a whopping 34.5 points. With convincing wins, both Big Ten teams should remain # 1 and # 2 in the AP and BCS rankings - making their meeting in Columbus in November a mouth-watering match-up. Out west, USC looks to keep pace as they travel to Oregon State to battle the Beavers. The Trojans are favored by 13.0 points.

Other big games this week include # 16 Rutgers hosting Connecticut and the classic SEC rivalry between # 9 Florida and Georgia. The surprising Scarlet Knights are 7-0 this season, one of only 8 teams still unbeaten this year, and are tied with # 4 West Virginia and # 6 Louisville atop the Big East standings. With the Mountaineers and Cardinals on a bye week, Rutgers has a chance to keep the pressure on their rivals and improve their BCS Bowl Game possibilities. The Gators, meanwhile, host the Bulldogs on Saturday when one of the fiercest rivalries in college sports kicks-off for the 85th installment. Georgia leads the all-time series 46-36-2, and is looking to avenge a 14-10 loss last season at home.

Also of note, Saturday in Annapolis will mark the 80th consecutive year that # 11 Notre Dame and Navy will play, a record for two teams not in the same conference. Notre Dame holds an incredible 69-9-1 all-time series lead, including an NCAA record 42-game winning streak against the Midshipmen that dates back to 1963. Notre Dame is favored by two touchdowns, but despite injuries to key players, Navy has played well this season. And all streaks eventually come to an end, so the Irish will need to stay focused.
