Ranieri City Snub Leaves Punters Baffled
With Claudio Ranieri no longer a contender to be the next Manchester City boss, William Hilll are quoting Juande Ramos of Sevilla and Gerrard Houllier as the 7/2 joint favourites to get the job.
William Hill make Sven Goran Erikkson 5/1 third favourite and also offer 8/1 Billy Davies; 12/1 Co Adriaanse, former Ajax and Porto boss; 16/1 Graeme Souness; 20/1 Didier Deschamps and Paul Jewell; 25/1 Ruud Gullit; Chris Coleman; 33/1 Lousi Van Gaal; Neil Warnock.
"The list of potential candidates for the City job does not look likely to alarm United fans, and we make them 8/15 to finish in the bottom half of the table - 11/8 to make the top half. They are 50/1 to finish above United next season" commented William Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe, "We are already quoting whoever gets the job at 25/1 to be the next Premiership boss to leave his club."
