Frozen Balls - The World Ice Golf Championship
Last updated: 13/03/2008 17:47
Playing golf amid Greenland's polar bears, reindeer and huskies, the temperature at -122F, you will be forgiven for not repairing your divots.
Especially when the greens are white, the balls are orange and the cart is a dogsled.
The World Ice Golf Championship, hosted by the town of Uummannaq in Greenland and now in its fifth year, is as much a test of skill as it is of endurance. As long as you have a handicap of up to 36 and can afford the 4000 euros entry fee, you're welcome to compete.
Two more courses are under construction at the moment.
