Blythe Knight Heads Bumper William Hill Lincoln Entry
2006 winner Blythe Knight heads a bumper entry of 102 for the £100,000 William Hill Lincoln.
The one mile showpiece, that is traditionally seen as the Flat season curtain raiser, will for the first time be run at Newcastle racecourse as the 18 month redevelopment of Doncaster continues. Like last year the traditional three day meeting will be condensed into a single William Hill sponsored card featuring the £12,000 Brocklesby, the £25,000 Spring Mile and the £30,000 Cammidge Trophy. William Hill have plans to stage a special Injured Jockeys Fund charity evening at Newcastle Greyhound Stadium after the Lincoln and will be organising a number of fundraising activities including a repeat of the successful Shetland Pony race, that they held before Christmas. The Leeds firm have also agreed to sponsor the entire card at Wolverhampton on March 10th which includes a one mile heritage handicap that has established itself as a William Hill Lincoln trial and is televised live on Channel 4.

Like last year the traditional three day meeting is to be condensed into a single day featuring all the major races and with the Injured Jockeys night at Newcastle Greyhound Stadium in the evening it promises to be a fantastic days sport."
