How Far Will McClaren Get England In Euro 08?

Bookmakers William Hill have opened a book on how far Steve McClaren will get England in the Euro 2008 tournament after he launched a press blitz to talk up his performance so far as England manager.

William Hill offer 7/4 that England will not even reach the Euro 2008 finals and make them 3/1 to be knocked out in the Quarter Finals (as usual!), 4/1 to be eliminated at the Group Stage of the finals, 5/1 to be knocked out in the semis, 7/1 to win the tournament and 8/1 to end up as runners-up.

"Steve McClaren can talk-up his role all he likes, but if England fail to reach at least the quarters he will be regarded as a failure, and at the moment it is a brave punter who will back England even to reach the Finals" said William Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
