George Washington heads a list of nine for Saturday's Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot. The Stan James 2000 Guineas winner, who has been well supported with William Hill during the week, is the Leeds firm's 5-4 favourite for the big race with Librettist their 10-3 second in.

Ben Clarke from William Hill added: "George Washington is the class horse in the race and has been the only horse we have laid all week. We initially went 7-4 but that was snapped up by Tuesday and although business has been relatively light since then he is still a big loser for us." He continued: "It's the tenth anniversary of Dettori day on Saturday and while it's too early to tell if the gamble on George Washington will continue the public money will be for Frankie on Librettist."
