Monty Odds On To Play And Fourth Favourite For Sports Personality

Monty Panesar has been backed from 3/1 to 1/2 with William Hill to play in the 3rd Test Match. And the Luton Town supporter has been backed by cricket fans all over the country in amounts of up to £600 a time.

"Monty was backed at 3/1 before England's second test collapse, after which he was shortened to 5/6, then 4/6 as the cash continued to pour in, when we took a bet of £600, and we have now gone 1/2. As yet we have taken no three figure bets for him not to play - England selectors please note!" said William Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.

England are 11/2 to win the 3rd Test with William Hill who make the Aussies 4/9 and the draw 11/4.
