Forget The Drought

Bookmakers William Hill have cut the price of the United Kingdom having their wettest summer on record from 33/1 to 25/1.
The present record was set in 1956 when an average of 358 mm of rainfall fell throughout the UK. William Hill also offer 50/1 that the UK record for the wettest 24hr period will be broken and 100/1 that the wettest hour record will topple.
"Forget the drought, punters obviously think that the doom and gloom drought merchants have got it completely wrong and are betting that we are all in for a soggy summer. We have even taken wagers that there will be rain everyday of Wimbledon at odds of 8/1", said William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
