FA To Investigate Suspicious Betting
Last updated: 13/03/2008 16:29
The Football Association is preparing to launch an investigation into claims that a League Two match could have been fixed last season.
A professional gambler has supplied information to the FA that highlights significant sums of money being staked from the Far East on a particular game.
A number of bets were layed on one side winning the match by a margin of more than one goal, a result that was fulfilled.
A spokesman for the FA commented: "As always if we have evidence of any breaches of the rules we will investigate thoroughly."
