Punters Hammered As England Find Form
Bookies William Hill cleaned up after Australia were beaten for a second time in a row by England.
"All the money was for Australia as punters felt that there was no chance of England winning two in a row," said William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
Despite England's victory in the first final, William Hill still rate Australia as their 1/2 favourites to win the CBI series with England priced at 6/4.
The bookies rate Australia as the 2/7 favourites to win the second final and offer 5/2 England and Paul Collingwood is 12/1 to score his third hundred in a row in the next game.
England have been cut from 12/1 to 10/1 to win the World Cup and Australia have been pushed out from 5/4 to 11/8.
"If England win then we will be ecstatic as almost all the money in the book has been for Australia including a bet of £40,659 at 1/10, whilst our biggest bet on England is £100 at 10/1 from a Guernsey based customer," said William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
