Bookies Shorten England For Ashes Glory

Bookmakers William Hill have cut the price of England winning the Ashes from 9/4 to 2/1 following their inspired victory over India this morning. Australia remain odds-on favourites to win at 4/6 with a drawn series offered at 9/2.
William Hill have also shortened the price of Freddie Flintoff captaining England for the first Ashes Test from 2/1 to 7/4 and offer 2/5 for England not to lose a Test Series before the Ashes.
"England showed great character in levelling the Series with India and as a result we have shortened their price of retaining the Ashes but it will be no easy task and the Aussies are the 4/6 favourites", said William Hill 's spokesman Rupert Adams.
