Beckham 7/1 To Pop Back En Route To LA

Last updated: 13/03/2008 17:05

With Real Madrid apparently happy to see the back of David Beckham, William Hill are offering odds of 7/1 that Beckham will take advantage of this to fit in a spell on loan with a Premiership club at any stage during the rest of this season.

"If Manchester United are happy to sign a player like Larsson on a short term loan, who is to say that someone might make Becks an offer he can't refuse to spend a few weeks back in the Premiership before heading for the sunshine of LA" said William Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.

With Scotland officially launching the hunt for a new manager to succeed Walter Smith, William Hill have installed Alex McLeish as 6/4 favourite and also offer 11/4 Tommy Burns; 9/2 Gary McAllister; 7/1 Craig Levein; 14 Billy Davies; 16 Jimmy Calderwood; Archie Knox; Paul Lambert.
