Cricket - Australia Down But Not Out

Last updated: 13/03/2008 16:55

The Australian one day side suddenly look vulnerable and William Hill have lengthened them from 5/4 to 7/4 to win the World Cup in the last few days.

William Hill offer 50/1 that Australia lose by 10 wickets to any side.

New Zealand have been trimmed to 11/1 and England remain 8/1 shots to win the event.

"Australia look like they are on the ropes but the recent sides to take the field have not been full strength. We certainly are not writing them off and they remain our favourites for the World Cup and we certainly expect to see them back at the top of the World rankings in the near future." said William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
