Premiership Betting Preview - Charlton v Everton
Charlton have only two wins all season, both at home and worryingly for Everton both against teams from the North West. 'Dreadful' describes their standard of football at the moment, as last week's 2-0 defeat to Reading showed.
The Addicks' midfield doesn't have the creativity; with Reid and Rommedahl ineffective at the best of times. Scoring goals is their problem, having failed to hit the back of the net in three of their last five games. There also seems to be confusion in the final third, as Hasselbaink, and the two Bent's have failed to click in whatever combination they've tried. However, they face an Everton side on an erratic run themselves, with only two goals scored in four games. Prior to their fortuitous win over Bolton, they could only boast of one win from eight matches.
With Cahill injured, Moyes will wonder where the goals will come from. Johnson has six Premiership goals to his name, but hasn't scored since September, McFadden is suspended and Beattie hasn't scored in a month!
With a lack of goalscoring instinct on show from both teams, it's unsurprising that Sporting Index reckon there'll only be two total goals at the Valley.
