You Bet Beckham Will Be A Mess
Bookmakers William Hill have slashed the price of David Beckham sporting a 'Messy Crop' hairstyle for England's first World Cup match against Paraguay from 4/1 to Even money.
The decision was taken after William Hill took advice from Lisa Shepherd, the current hairdresser of the year and adjudicator for William Hill's betting. Lisa said: "Last night I would describe Beck's hair as a "messy crop". This is a great style and possibly he could leave it like this for the World Cup. However, it could very easily be turned into a Mohawk by shaving off the sides or he could just simply shave off the lot!"
William Hill revised betting includes 2/1 that Becks is totally bald on June 10th, 4/1 that he wears an Alice Band and 4/1 that he has a Mullet.
"Beckham has had four years to think about his haircut for this World Cup, enough time even for him and you can be sure that whatever he decides to do with his hair, it will be a headline grabber. For what it is worth, I think 'Mullet' is good value at 4/1." said William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
William Hill Odds - What Haircut will Beckham have for England's first World Cup match: Evens Messy Crop, 2/1 Bald, 4/1 Alice Band, 4/1 Mullet, 6/1 Mohawk, 8/1 Quiff, 8/1 Pudding Bowl/ Beatles, 12/1 Flat Top, 25/1 Pony Tail, 33/1 Dreadlocks, 33/1 Name of Children cut into his hair, 100/1 Wig.
William Hill are also offering 28/1 that the entire England team will appear with identical haircuts - or 20/1 that they all have the same hair-colouring.
The decision of Lisa Shepherd, current British Hairdresser of the Year, will be final in settling bets on Beckham's haircut.
