Jankovic All The Rage For Australian Open Victory

William Hill have slashed the price of Jelena Jankovic winning the Australian open from 25/1 to 14/1 as punters pile on the Serbian to win the first Grand Slam of the year.

Former Wimbledon Champion Maria Sharapova is the 9/4 favourite.

"You cannot fault punters logic, Jelena must been a real contender in Sydney as she is unbeaten in 2007, thrashed Mauresmo and now Venus Williams has pulled out," said William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.

Roger Federer is the 2/5 favourite to win the Men's title with Nadal offered at 6/1 and Andy Roddick a 10/1 shot. British number one Andy Murray is a 40/1 outsider for the crown.
