Who Will Succeed Walter Smith As Scotland Boss?

Last updated: 13/03/2008 17:07

With an impasse developing between want-away boss Walter Smith and the SFA, William Hill have opened a book on who will utlimately succeed Smith in the job on a permanent basis and make Tommy Burns 2/1 favourite and also offer 11/4 Craig Levein; 4/1 Ally McCoist; 6/1 Alex McLeish; 11/1 Archie Knox; 14/1 John Collins; Jimmy Calderwood; 16/1 Joe Jordan; Graeme Souness; 20/1 Billy Davies; Jim Jeffries; Gary McAllister; 25 Craig Brown; 33 David Moyes; Paul Sturrock; 100/1 Paul Le Guen.

"The post may not be vacant at the moment but with a stand-off likely to develop it seems that Walter may move on sooner rather than later and with Scotland 4/1 shots to qualify for Euro 2008 they will want to bring the new man in quickly" said William Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
