Horse Racing - Nickname Puts In Another Naas Performance
Nickname showed what a class act he is with another impressive performance in the Paddy Power Newlands Chase at Naas.
Martin Brassil's charge, who was partnered by Ruby Walsh, was held up nicely by his pilot before making ground four from home and passing leader Gemini Lucy with ease.
William Hill left Nickname unchanged at 6-1 for the Seasons Holidays Queen Mother Champion Chase and also left Gemini Lucy unchanged at 20-1 for the Irish Independent Arkle.
William Hill's Spokesman Ben Clarke added: "It was another exhibition performance by Nickname who we know is a seriously good horse. His performances on soft ground have been exceptional but even if the current wet spell continues, and he gets his favoured soft ground, he will have to be at his very best to win what is looking an increasingly competitive contest as both Newmill and Well Chief look to be peaking at the right time."
