Show more than your hand at Cap D’Agde Casino
The Cap D’Agde is located on the French Riviera and is a world famous naturist resort. Nudists are encouraged to swim, play sports and love life on the beach and in the resort where numbers of tourists can inflate to in excess of 40,000 people during the climax of the season.
It is no surprise then that the “Naked City” resort’s casino, Cap D’Agde Casino and the Union of Professionals of Naturist Tourism have organised a naked poker tournament to commemorate the casino’s 40th anniversary. The nudist tournament is hoped to attract at least one pro poker player, with pros such as Phil Ivey, Phil Hellmuth, Patrik Antonius and Jennifer Harman’s names being revealed as potential players. As yet, the big names in poker are said to be abreast of the situation but are as yet declining to confirm who will attend.
The tournament, possibly the first of its kind world-wide, promises to be a relaxed and pleasurable event where players, both amateurs and pros, will be birthday suited, not booted. With a low buy in fee of €150, people will be joining in to have for a laugh rather than for the promise of a big prize pool. One thing is for certain though; the game’s going to be huge.
A date is yet to be set for the tournament but publicity is mounting with speculation about which pro players the game will uncover. Hosted to promote the concept of naturism and the resort itself, hopefully poker’s bigwigs and amateurs will hold’em tight so the tournament doesn’t turn into a giant flop.
