Short Stack Senti is not to be underestimated in the November Nine
Jason Senti will be entering the final table as the short stack; however, he is a dangerous player and should not be ignored by any means.
Jason Senti is coming to the 2010 WSOP Main Event final table with the shortest stack; however, this doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a chance. Senti has 7.7 million chips and he will be trying to combine his 15 big blinds into the $8.9 million prize.
Online Senti is known as ‘PBJazz’ and is definitely one of the most dangerous players at the final table. At the moment he is an instructor for Phil Galfond’s Bluefire Poker and he has been seen to dominate online cash games worth anywhere from $5/$10 to $50/$100.
Senti original studied engineering and started working as an electrical engineer; he became interested in poker after watching it on TV. He said, "I decided to give it a shot and deposited a few bucks online".
Senti was immediately successful and very quickly had one several tournaments and was accumulating a huge bankroll. He soon moved onto cash games and within a few months was winnigna t $1/$2 No – Limit Hold’em. It took him less than a year to start beating $25/$50.
Soon he was making more money playing poker than in his day job and decided to start playing poker full-time. He believes that his success is partially due a strong maths background and a good understanding of psychology.
After a few years Phli Galfond asked Senti to start making videos for his poker training site Bluefire Poker, Senti gladly accepted, "Apart from it just being a good situation for me, I like teaching," he said. "I like explaining things, whether it's poker or not, and doing my best to help people."
However, this does mean that his opponents at the November Nine will know more about his game than anyone else’s.
When asked about being the short stack Senti said, "To start the table I'm going to be pretty short-stacked so I'm going to put a lot of work into that, I'm going to make sure I really understand good ranges in those situations."
