London gets ready for a huge poker festival

Over the next couple of months the British Poker Festival will be taking place with loads of events for all to enjoy.

Over the next few months there will be over 100 unique events hosted in London as part of the one of a kind festival of poker. Whether you’re a player or a fan you should definitely have a look at BritishPokerFestival.com in order to see the full schedule of proceedings.

There will be over twelve million pounds given away in live land based scheduled tournaments. The festival beings on August 30th with the first ever stop in London of the World Poker Tour.

Other major days include the English Poker Open on September 11th at Mayfair’s Palm Beach Casino and the 14th of September marks the start of the 15 day World Series of Poker Europe tournament at the Casino at The Empire in London’s Leicester Square.

This year will also see the fourth occurrence of the two day Poker in the Park festival from September the 2nd at Leicester Square with as many as 20,000 people expected to take part. A few weeks later is the first ever British Poker Awards being held at the Fox Poker Club on September 13th, this new ceremony is designed to honour the best of British and European poker players and is open to the  public, it will also feature a pros verses amateurs tournament.

Throughout London there will be many other tournaments, cash games, parties, lectures, charity events and hospitality occasions taking place over the month long festival for players to enjoy.

The leader poker publication Bluff Europe said, “There are, of course, tournaments and cash games to suit all pockets on each day of the festival at over a dozen participating card rooms throughout the city and poker enthusiasts are invited to attend all the listed public events.
