World Poker Association Hosts Conference

The World Poker Association is launching their first educational event for their members.  It will be held at the Rio All Suites Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, on May 28 -May 29, 2008, prior to the launch of the World Series of Poker tournament that takes place in Las Vegas in July.  The conference will be moderated by Mike ‘The Mad Genius of Poker’ Caro, and is titled ‘63 Money Making Tips To Win A Bundle At The WSOP’.

The panel, who will be giving talks at the conference, include three experienced poker coaches that are well known in the poker community.  They will giving the audience three different perspectives on the game and include: LIPS Tour champion Lisa Adams, who is a poker author and radio show host; Washington Poker School founder, lawyer and accomplished poker player Ken Adams; and the principal of the French School of Poker Francois Montmirel.  They will cover topics that range from the different style of poker play between the United States and Europe to building poker strategies that work to playing against female poker players at your table.

The Conference is a winning ticket, allowing members to sharpen their tournament skills, network at the opening party and prove their bragging rights in the WPA Mega Satellite.

Wendeen H. Eolis, the WPA Chairman, states, “The Conference is a winning trifecta ticket, allowing members to sharpen their tournament skills, network at the must-be-seen opening cocktail party on May 28th and then prove their bragging rights in the WPA Mega Satellite on May29th.”

The World Poker Association is making it their mission to “promote poker as a sport by advocating professionalism and uniform rules and standards of conduct, and by helping to create increased economic opportunities for players”.

The conference is the first of its kind and the World Poker Association is looking forward to the expected success that will hopefully encourage them to have a second conference next year.  It will open up with the first WPA membership meeting that will include the election of Directors of the WPA for the upcoming new membership year, which starts on June 1, 2008.  According to the WPA, the nominees include Ken Adams, Michael Binger, Doyle Brunson, Joe Hachem, Jesse Jones, Thomas Kremser, J.J. Liu, Victor Ramdin, Blair Rodman, Roger Saad, Harry Thomas Jr. and Roy Winston

Anyone who will be playing in the WSOP is sure to find the tips on offer very helpful before sitting down at the tournament tables for the big game in an effort to win the Main Event in November and collect the elusive WSOP Champion bracelet.
