Virgin, the company that brings you record stores and cell phone plans, now offers its United Kingdom residents an exclusive online poker site just for them. Stash, in association with Virgin Poker, is an all round comprehensive website dedicated to poker and poker players around the world. Filled with tips and tools of the card playing trade, even the novice can learn everything they need to know about this game of skill and luck.

Getting started with Virgin Poker requires the user to sign up for an account, download and install the software. Once you have launched the software, you find yourself in the lobby looking at the tabs for each type of game. The poker room offers players the chance to play Texas Hold’em, Five Card Draw, or Seven Card Stud. Each tab holds several tables and each table will have a different set of stakes. You can choose which one you want to play. ‘No Limit’, ‘Limit’, and ‘Pot Limit’ are all money games. ‘Practice’ allows you to play for free and gives you a chance get a feel for the way the game plays, how the software works, and whether or not you understand the game’s particular rules.

If you are not familiar with poker, you can attend the next live poker school or watch free instructional videos on the site that walk you through the different hands, how they play out, and the order in which they list from lowest hand to highest. There are also tournaments available with entry fees of as little as €5.00. Players should check the website daily for tournament listings and additional bonuses and incentives on offer. You can also earn V-Points on cash and tournament tables. These points can be used for Virgin products such as airline tickets and more.

New players to Virgin poker are welcomed with a deposit match by Virgin up to €100.00. If you open up an account, for example, with €40.00, Virgin will add €40.00 to your bonus account. As you play, the website will release your bonus money to you in increments of €10.00. If you recommend the site to your friends and they sign up with an active account, Virgin will give you a €25.00 bonus. Players who finish one place outside any tournament cash winnings can ‘bubble’ – ask to have your buy-in placed back into your account. All you have to do is send a note to Virgin with your name, the tourney you ‘bubbled’ in and the date and they will replace your buy-in.

Another incentive for players is to enter a live event. If the player wins a seat to a live event through a Virgin Poker satellite tournament and makes it to the final round, Virgin will buy you a seat to the same event the next year. This will include travel, accommodations, and the tournament entry fee. Also, players should jump into the Virgin Poker daily €35.00 freeroll. Free to players, it runs at 6:30pm every night. All you have to do is download Virgin Poker with an account name, click on the Multi Tourney tap, and select freeroll. Find the freeroll option and you are on your way.

Virgin Poker’s website also includes a blog section, poker tales, and a comprehensive help section. The help section includes information on house rules, house rakes, and policies as well as a section on what Virgin considers responsible gambling and what you should do if you think you have a gambling problem.
