Attendance at World Series Of Poker Still Low
Last updated: 13/03/2008 16:41
Compared to last year, the number of players in the World Series of Poker is much lower than anticipated. On the first day of the four day long Day 1 just 1,287 players registered, and on Day 1B there were slightly more at 1,546 entrants. That totals just 2,833 players when Harrah’s Entertainment had allowed for 3,000 each day.
Last year’s participation of 8,700 plus players was a record setter, and the next two days will have to max out in order to avoid the 2007 being first year in a long time that attendance went down on the main event.
