The starting field of 797 players and has now been reduced to 337 players. All remaining players are guaranteed a win of at least $39,445. The next payout jump is at 288th place and is to $45,422.
The chip leader heading into day 3 was Gus Hansen but Dario Minieri ended the day as chip leader and Hollywood heart throb Tobey Maguire and Sully Erna of Godsmack fame are still in the running for a decent finish.
Noteable eliminations today included those of J C Tran, the current player of the year and Leif Force, whose pocket Jacks lost to pocket Aces.
