Online gaming firm Cassava Enterprises, which owns the 888.com poker website, is preparing to fund a large takeover by floating on the London Stock Exchange. The firm is being linked with a possible bid for rival PokerStars, the world's second-largest internet poker firm, industry insiders believe.
The flotation would be the latest in a string of online gaming companies to list in London.
World leader PartyGaming went public in June with a value of £4.6billion.
