World Series Of Poker (WSOP) Day Four Update

Play finished on day 4 of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) with 135 contestants remaining in the tournament.

Jamie Gold is still well ahead of the field, with long time leader Dmitri Nobles in 13th place.

Play will start again shortly were the players will be whittled down even further.

This session was originally intended to reduce the group from 300 to 150 so the tournament is way ahead of schedule.

The day is scheduled to contain five full levels of blinds, as with the last session, but who knows what lies ahead.

The least any of the remaining contestants can leave with is $47,006 and the prize money jumps again if they can hang on until 126th place, where it is $51,129.

The most recent eliminations before the end of the day were Marius Hogtun, Aaron Bartley, Scott Byron, Moshe Jonish, Josef Macek, Jeremy Mitchell and Whitney Brayton. But the player who will have been least happy to have seen the session end will have been William Thorsson who seemed to be on a winning streak, eliminating Marius Hogtun, with a flush on the river, and gaining 100k in the process.
