Play has started at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) final table and with less than half an hour gone Dan Nassif is eliminated in 9th place taking home prize money of $1,566,858.
His A, K was beaten by Jamie King's pocket 2s. A 2 was shown on the river and an ace on the flop, so Gold won with three of a kind.
The next player to be eliminated will win almost $2 million ($1,979,189). At present the player with least chips is Michael Binger with $3,000,000 but with an ante of 20,000 and blinds of 80,000 and 160,000, things can change very quickly.
Jamie Gold is current chip leader with 31,600,000 chips, and is obviously on good form, winning 5 of the first 14 hands.
