Oracle Poker Consulting Launched

If you have the desire to improve your poker game and you are sick of the half-baked instructional ‘schools’ that can be found on the Internet, then you are finally in luck.  Oracle Poker Consulting is here to help.  Developed by professional poker players Michael Binger and Roy Winston, the new company will be focusing on educating players on the subtleties of poker through workshops and training courses.
 
The duo plan to unveil the innovative individual player service during the 2008 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas and they are planning to open poker learning centres that will teach all levels of the game from beginner to advanced, cash game play, and tournament play.  They will be emphasizing final table services during the WSOP and one lucky Main Event finalist will find themselves intensely working with Binger and Winston during the three month lag time before the final event is played in November.

The Oracle Learning Centers will be offering classes that help players improve their game in areas such as moving from online play to live play.  This will prove to be especially helpful for anyone who wins a seat at a live tournament via an online satellite qualifier and has never sat at a live poker table before.  They will also offer game fundamentals for beginners and how to find the perfect edge for advanced players.  Even if you are a seasoned and accomplished player, the learning center will provide you with a new outlook that could add to your game.

“In almost every other sport or activity, be it team or individual, coaching is a large part of the performance improvement process.  Whether we are working with a beginner or taking an already skilled player, working on improving their game is our mission.  Today’s poker player has come a long way from the days of underground card rooms where the hustlers prayed on the inexperienced.  Beyond the fundamentals, just one of the advanced concepts they teach is the ability to put your opponent on a narrow range of hands so you can beat them with a wide range of hands,” stated Winston when asked about the goals of the new centers.

Binger went on to add, “Through refinement of a player’s own game and the ability to find weaknesses in an opponent’s game Roy and I will offer significant game improvement.  The process is multi-faceted and will include computer based hand simulation and analysis, video teaching and preparation for individual opponents.  Reviewing videos of students play will allow substantial clean up of their own physical game as well, making reading them difficult even for accomplished players.”
