466 players left in the runnings On day 2A of the World Series of Poker Main Event, unknown Brian Schaedlich stands as the chip leader. He played well, turning an initial 160,000 into a stack of 800,000 by the end of the day. Out of 1250 players at the start, only 466 survived to play another day in the quest for the trophy. Those still in the game include cricket legend Shane Warne, former Main Event winners Jerry Yang, Johnny Chan, Phil Hellmuth, Carlos Mortensen, Brad Daugherty, Chris Moneymaker and Joe Hachem, and pros Gus Hansen, Evelyn Ng, Men "The Master" Nguyen and Jennifer Harman.
