Spice Girls and Annie Lennox scoop Glamour Awards

This year’s Glamour Awards were held at Berkeley Square.  The girls that everyone wanted to see did attend – except one.  Posh was simply nowhere in sight.  She is after all the most fashion conscious girl in the world.  Mel B, Baby and Ginger Spice were all there.  But Posh - the most glamorous of all the spice girls - could not make it.  The other Spice Girls did accept an award for the Band Of The Year.  Alan Carr and Justin Lee Collins presented the award to the Spice girls. Mel C was also not present at the Glamour Awards.

Without Victoria Beckham grabbing the limelight Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell were able to take full credit for all of the attention.  It has to be said that the three Spice Girls looked ravishing and in excellent shape.  Emma Bunton has a nine month old boy called Beau.  She seemed delighted to reveal her better than ever figure and the latest bob hairstyle.  Victoria is definitely the thinnest of the Spice Girls but also the glummest.  Mel, Emma and Geri smiled and joked quite naturally and it was obvious they were having a great time.

The Glamour Awards are affectionately known as ‘The Glammies’.  The winners are selected by the readers of Glamour.  This magazine is read by women across the world and is highly thought of as a reference for fashion and glamour.  The awards aim to specifically recognize women from the fields of literature, film, television, theatre and music.   The awards are in no way regarded as trivial and this year Sarah Brown, wife of Prime Minister Gordon Brown, was there to present the Inspiration Award to Annie Lennox.  Annie Lennox has proved to be an entertainer who is highly thought of by women the world over.
