Manchester United splash out on casino celebration

It's well known that the Manchester United team like to party.  Their recent victory reaching the top of the Premiership - for the 10th time in 16 years - was a good reason to celebrate.

After defeating Wigan 2-0 - with goals from Ryan Giggs and Cristiano Ronaldo - the teammates headed to one of their favourite spots, the Manchester 235 Casino.

Many of the Man U players enjoy a gamble, and by the end of the night, they had splashed out £100,000 at the tables.  The champagne flowed, the chips were thrown in and the players chanted victory songs.

Rio Ferdinand, Wayne Rooney and Carlos Tevez were among the gamblers, betting thousands of pounds each, plus Gary Neville and Michael Carrick.  Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani, the two Portuguese players, managed to sneak off to another club, preferring to dance the night away.

Next week, Man U must face Chelsea in Moscow in an attempt at a double whammy - the Premiership and the Champions' League.  If they succeed, each player will earn a £250,000 bonus. 

Manchester are current favourites at 5/4 while Chelsea are at 15/8 odds.
