Betfair competition awards seat to WSOPE
They filled a Mini car with poker chips and got people to guess how many chips there were inside - just like the tradiitonal money in a jar game at the funfair. Betfair pros Annette Obrestad and John Tabatabai helped organised the contest. First prize was a package to the WSOPE in London this October, the European leg of the WSOP. There was a lot at stake for a simple guess, as Annette - last year's WSOPE winner - knows well. Annette was a tender 18 years old when she won the bracelet in London and surprised the poker world. The eventual winner of the Mini competition was Marcus Gustafson whose guess was the closest to the 127 644 chips packed into the car. Marcus will get flights and accommodation to London plus the $10,000 buy-in to the Main Event. The WSOPE will take place between 19th Sept and the 2nd October 2008.
